Weeks 27 & 28 - The Championships, Wimbledon (grass) - main draw

Cam Norrie hasn't quite reached the level he was at when he won Indian Wells in 2021 for me, even in his run to the semi final last year.

Here's hoping he can touch those dizzy heights again with another good run at Wimbledon this year.

He's certainly not exactly looking full of beans against Machac at the moment...  cry

I think he's looking more animated than usual, realise he's just lost the 2nd set, but 3-1 up in 3rd.

He certainly perked up a lot in winning that third set (6-1), but seems tentative again at the start of the fourth (0-2*).  hmm

I'd be surprised if Cam doesn't come through this although he's making hard work of it at the moment.

It's just that he's capable of so much more than this when mind and body are in tune with each other.

Cam looks quite anxious here almost as if he wants this over as soon as possible.

Have a look at which commentator is trending on Twitter just now and who plays tennis with David Cameron. Man gets more loathsome by the minute. Time for the BBC to take action. Email of complaint number 3 pending.

Be more specific, Jaggy - I can't get Twitter now, it's all gone pear-shaped.

I like complaining emails biggrin

Glad to see Evo's match has been rolled into today, a friend told me it would be, and it makes sense to at least try and get the R1 Monday matches finished, if poss

Wouldn't it be nice if it wasn't a 30 min over and done ....

What has happened to Cam since Rio? Just lost all confidence in himself since then. He may get through this but cant see him getting past anyone in the top 30 playing like this

Good for Cam that he limited that to four sets.

Obviously good for Andy that he got it done quickly given his recent history of doing maximum sets, but I would've hoped and expected that to be closer. As it was, I would've probably given CeCe Peniston more of a chance getting games than I would Ryan, towards the end.

I cant say his name it brings me out in hives. He would be better sticking to those dodgy insurance adverts.

Oh well I'm certain Andrew Castle will sleep absolutely fine tonight not even aware you exist.
