They always emphasise that Wimbledon is in essence an outdoor tournament and they really want to use the roof just as a contingeny reserve.
Given today's earlier forecast and the forecast for the rest of the week, and that they are not ridiculously behind, I do think it was understandable to today think they could have an early afternoon start with the roof open.
Good on Isa Guha grilling Tim the Toff on BBC just now about decisions they are making. He looked a bit annoyed at the questioning but quite right as well. All these decisions and delays will at least mean his pals get to finish their lovely debentures quaffing posh lunches.
L128: Quentin Halys (FRA) WR 79 defeated (27) Daniel Evans WR 30 by 6-2 6-3 6-7(5) 6-4
L128: (3) Daniil Medvedev (***) WR 3 defeated (WC) Arthur Féry WR 389 by 5, 4 & 3
Arthur was outclassed by the third seed, but he played some canny stuff & by no means disgraced himself on the big stage.
