2 horrible draws and the rest look okay in terms of first round matches .

The standout second round could be Murray v Tsitsipas which although very difficult is still winnable for Andy . The Greek has been in poor form on the grass . If this was clay Murray would have no chance but at Wimbledon a different story .

Loffhagen, Fery and Peniston all with really rough draws.

I'll be optimistic and go with 4 wins, Andy, Cam, Dan and Liam.

If Billy can beat Lestienne (Queen's qualies), surely Liam can...

Lajovic has not played since retiring at French Open so Jan might have a chance.

I'm almost pleased for George and Arthur

There can't be any pressure

Even if they lose 2, 2, and 1

Nothing the press can say if you're drawn against a top 10 player

I think Ryan is not the sort of player that Andy wants - will be tight, IMO

So wish George and Arthur had better draws. Wanted to see them progress. But this is in at the deep end and I guess a real learning curve for them both.

George and Arthur should get decent courts for those matches as well. Maybe not centre, but maybe one of the top 3 or 4 courts

Roger the Lodger's thoughts on Andy at Wimbledon (towards the end - the article reports mainly on his visit to open a newly refurbished public tennis court in Greenwich earlier this month).

Matthew Syed's eulogy to The Lodger in yesterday's Times.

There are 16 French men in the main draw

Which is pretty exceptional

I doubt any of them will really get anywhere threatening but it is an amazing number

On the flipside, GB only has 3, with 5 more wildcards. Others doing well too.....

France: 16
USA: 12
Argentina: 8
Australia: 8
GBR: 8, of which 5 wildcards
Spain: 7
Italy: 6
Serbia: 6
Japan: 5

Two of 'em are lucky losers:  Taro Daniel (q4, beaten in five by Coppejans) & Yosuke Watanuki (q8, beaten in four by Dennis Novak), but at least they put themselves in the right position to take avantage of possible "openings" by reaching the FQR.
