What an amazing afternoon.  I feel quite exhausted!   I don't think I have ever switched channels quite so much.  At one time Liam and Katie were in synch so you could watch each hold their serve.

 Me too.

I had one on TV. And one on the laptop

And was trying to keep an eye on other things too - spectator gymnastics biggrin

The best result of Liam's career, no doubt, taking out the no 4 seed on centre court.

They will have to change that sign at the Stockport border from 'Home of Blossoms' (some pop group, apparently) to 'Home of Liam Brady'.

I thought that was Highbury, or somewhere in Ireland originally?

Stockports' finest is Broady not Brady.

Absolutely fantastic performance Liam. Should secure next years wild card if you need one.

Why does centre court start at 1.30 pm . Pathetic scheduling and if the Murray Tsitsipas match is unable to finish tonight then officials only have themselves to blame .

Liam was so, so incredible - it was thoroughly enjoying throughout. Of all the players I feel he deserves a run like this. He was screwed over by covid ranking points to the higher players, screwed over by no points last year, theres nobody on either tour who deserves a top 100 spot than him. So pleased!

Liams half has 7 seeds into the last 32. More importantly, his quarter has 2 of 8 through. They are Sinner and Shapo, but its certainly wide open if he can keep going!

First arguable upset of the tournament:  Seb Korda (22) beaten in four sets by Jiri Vesely.

Followed by Liam dumping out Ruud in five & Laslo Djere Ben Shelton (32) in four.

Cant see Murray coming back here . A horrible draw given who he could have played .

Liam has beaten Shapovalov before. I clearly remember a minor 'spat' at the end when Denis didn't take kindly to Liam's roar of delight, to which Liam retorted - 'I'm glad I won because you are a very good player'.

Let's hope he can repeat. A win would give him a CH ranking inside the top 110.

Never count Sir Andy out - he will fight to the last - one set all!
