I didnt realise Zerev was type 1 diabetic - came up in conversation yesterday. As a professional athlete, it cant be easy to manage and must give hope to many young athletes who have the condition.

There definitely is a consistently top core at the moment. Well the top 2 of Alcaraz and Djokovic and then the next 5 or 6.

7 of the top 8 seeds have made the L16 here but none of seeds 9 to 16. There was already quite a gap in the rankings after Rublev WR 7, and Sinner WR 8, now through to the QF along with Rublev, has increased his gap to Fritz WR 9.

We need Hurkacz to upset the apple cart.

8 pm has passed and in the current match on Centre Swiatek has just broken Bencic to lead *3-1 in the third set.

I'm looking forward to Dimitrov v Rune - I have Court 1 tickets for tomorrow, although I must admit that I'd prefer all three matches that are on Centre Court.

Enjoy that - Court two to me seems the best matches in fact, but Court one and Dimitrov and Rune will be fascinating. Entertaining.

Medvedev v Lehecka could be interesting - Lehecka has a big serve, got to the AO QF in Jan and Queens doubles final the other week; he could trouble Medvedev.

Sabalenka and Alexandrova could also be tough. But Dimi and Rune is the main match for me
