Weeks 27 & 28 - The Championships, Wimbledon (grass) - main draw

Carlos Alcaraz with a clear edge in quality over Holgar Rune to go through to semis in straight sets.

just been catching up on the days action - Med v Eubanks, what a match that appeared to be, pure joy, and looking forward to Med v Alcaraz next!

Alcaraz v Rune looked good as well from the 3 mins BBC highlights clip, Rune reminds me of Lleyton Hewitt in many ways, but Alcaraz is other world potential.

Semis?

Djokovic over Sinner in 3 sets, maybe 4 at a pinch

Alcaraz over Medvedev in 4 sets of great play

Final?

Right now, Djoko in 4 sets over Alcaraz

Just realised it's only £8 for a ground pass to sit on henman hill for the mens final. When do you think I would need to be there?

Interesting to see (hear?) Mr Djokovic called for a hindrance against Mr Sinner. That doesn't happen often.

Brave call by the umpire on the hinderance! Sadly I think Djoko will be this years winner hmm hes just in a different class.

I know Tim and Cotter didn't agree but I thought the umpire was quite right

The point is Djoko doesn't normally make that noise, he doesn't grunt or shout when he hits, so a sudden roar is atpyical

And also he didn't make the noise as he hit the ball but once the ball was over the other side of the net

So, yep, I think the umpire got it right

And, yes, it doesnt matter, as he is outclassing Sinner by miles at the moment

When I heard the umpire call it I thought JS had accidentally crashed into a lines-person off camera, couldn't believe it when they explained that it was for grunting.

 It wasn't a grunt, IMO

I see what you mean on the replay the noise was a little late, but if it was a hindrance then it should have affected  Sinner's return, but the return landed a foot inside the base line and this makes the 'hindrance' bit a little hard to buy.
