I must admit to have lost interest since the Brits and Eubanks went out, but, hey it's the final, and although I'd love to see Djoko beaten I'm not holding my breath.

Yes. Me too. Wasn't interested in the semis (although Djoko did look absolutely dominant in the little bit I saw, hats off to him)

I watched U14s or something instead biggrin

But will tune in for the final this afternoon

It's our country's Grand Slam Final. Why would a UK tennis fan ignore that?

They are walking onto court now. The atmosphere fired up for the big showdown.

Must confess I'm currently watching the junior final - but might drop into CC at some point.

Well done Henry. They just mentioned between sets that we have our first British winner of Junior Wimbledon!

Carlos looking a little cowed in the first set. Whatever mind games are going on between these two ND has won them up to now.

Well so far a much superior level of tennis compared to yesterday. Just hope Carlos can get more into it. Novak taking the mick with his serving time.
Vamos Carlos!

One brilliant return at 7-6 in the tie break and the match is level. A standing ovation from the Centre Court crowd just for drawing level.

Here's hoping Alcaraz doesn't run out of steam as he did in the French Open Final.

Semi final

But yes agreed, and a long way to go if he's to lift the trophy.

I was so uninterested in the outcome that I went out for my Sunday Times & other Sunday shopping after Djoko won the first game.  The lady in front of me in the queue at the checkout in Waitrose mentioned that he'd won the first set after we became engaged in a conversation with the checkout operator!  wink  Things looking a bit rosier now, though (got back towards the end of the second set)!  smile

Can the doubters begin to believe? Carlos Alcaraz this is your time. 6-1 third set.

Games within games: there was a big one at 3-1 in the third set it lasted nearly half an hour and had something like 14 deuces before Carlos prevailed. After that Novak seemed to give up on the third set.

There was another one just now for Carlos to hold for 2-1 in the 4th set. Again Carlos prevailed.

The drama goes on. Carlos is broken at 2 all when he hits long, but he challenges and it transpires that about a tenth of the ball has caught the line. Reprieved Carlos returns it to deuce only to lose the next point and then scuff a shot into the net. Novak has done it! Is this the start of ND's great last stand? If he wins it's going to take the full 5 sets now...
