Week 27/28 - Wimbledon Ladies, Great Britain Grass

OK, it at least moves the argument on if folk are agreed that there isn't really an overall schedule / logistics issues.

More then to whether moving a few big names further forward and these issues you bring up are more important than being a bit cautious about closing the roofs whenever there is any threat of rain in a nominally outdoor Slam.

Superb. That stop she handled so well, refocused. Won a brilliant first point on the resumption and grabbed the momentum. Great quality too, that final point she was superb to win it and a very classy volley to finish.

Nerves maybe or perhaps a British trait of not realising that Kasatkina was a class above. We are talking about Top 10 level and the evidence thus far is Jodie is way off this. Shes making progress sure but it wasnt really a contest.

At the 2022 US Open Harriet beat Kasatkina in the 1st round. Kasatkina had won Granby the week before.

Fully aware of this, irrelevant to my point. There was a clear gulf in class assuming you watched the match or do you prefer to just try and argue all my points

Criminal damage charges apparently being attempted. That confetti and jigsaw puzzles really must do some damage eh. Yes these folks are annoying but really?

Meanwhile the interruption seems to have helped Katie who is striking the ball very well. Trying to watch her and Heather at the same time both matches will be over soon one good one not so at the moment.

Yes I did watch all the match actually. Kasatina is a class act. Only pointing out that a British player Harriet has beaten Kasatkina in a Grand Slam.

All other 2nd round matches now cancelled, So Swiatek, Kasatkina and Djokovic will be in 3rd round while others won't have started their first match. Disgraceful pandering to the top names!
