Did/does Henry not get more than one boodle match? How do they decide it at this event? Sorry I dont have time to look it up

Its not a tournament as such, just a series of exhibitions ? Like Hurlingham event as well.

not sure if Liverpool was in this years calendar? Thats similar although they purport to have a winner there.

So what next for Henry? Seems to have been stuck around his current ranking for a while. Capable of a big win but then some average losses.

Am I being too harsh?

No, I don't think you are. He is still just 19 yo but if he is to keep on course to make it towards the top of the game I think he has to be consistently showing more.

Since the post above, Henry has been bobbing about, not really getting any consistently decent results - flashes of brilliance, longer patches on ho-hum

But someone else reported that Dan Evans may now be mentoring him and Priesty, today, interestingly pondered whether this would be a major benefit, as Dan would encourage Henry to not mess around and waste his talent early on, as Dan himself arguably did

I'm not 100% sure if Dan would quite see it that way. But I'm really pleased if Dan is indeed mentoring him.

Dan and Henry obviously get on really well. They've chosen to play doubles at Wimbly before, twice, I think.
And I expect them to be both be there again this year.

And they have similar characters, similar 'high spirits', similar hatred of posh b*llsh*t, similar showmanship, similar variety in their tennis ....

So, yes, let's hope that Dan is on board, at least part-time. Henry needs it, there's not many that would 'fit' him well - but Dan is one.

Have a look on Liam B's individual thread CD, you'll see it in the last few posts and it's mentioned in the Times article smile

Tx - I wasn't disputing it, of course - just couldn't remember quite who to give credit to for reporting it
