Well played Dan. On match point he briefly tapped his head before clenching his fist.

Goes without saying that is highly inflammatory. Even though he was looking at his team, one can only conclude it was directed squarely at his vanquished foe.

Evo is on court again later, Tiafoe is his opponent as expected.

Bencic v Gauff is before that and, to be honest, that is unlikely to be quick, so I would guess around 2.30am our time, 9.30 local. Could be a midnight finish...Dimitrov got a QF walkover and will await the winner of that in the semis. So wont be easy.

Tiafoe won 3 and 2 in 1 hour 12, so wont be too tired I would suggest, so could be an interesting match - they are 3 all head to head, Tiafoe has won the last two matches, not played since 2021 though. Suspect Tiafoe will go in favourite.

My favourite Brit versus one of my favourite players in the non Brits, so excited to see how it plays out - sadly I need to go to bed!!
