Nice to see that I was right about Ryan Storrie.  smile

Rather an astonishing coincidence.  There were exactly two major upsets in the first round and both of them featured a lucky loser

beating a top seed!

It's a little bit too far away for me wink

So do you go to any of the ITF events in Spain?  There must be many.

Yes.  Particularly if there are Brits involved.  Most recent event was the Murcia Challenger - Kyle Edmund/Billy Harris from team GB.

I've also been known to travel a bit further afield for some events.

Umag probably takes the prize on that score, wouldn't you say, Bob?

That wasn't me. That was 'Bob in Croatia' wink

I thought this looked more-than-usually Brit-heavy and with lots of lower-ranked guys when I saw it, so looked back at the last two:

24 Brits in the main draw here, compared with 22 at July's Roehampton event and Nottingham event

Including 13 here who are outside the top-1000, compared with 10 outside the top-1000 in July's Roehampton, and 11 at Nottingham

So, from R1 with 24:8 in terms of Brits:Non-Brits

We're now at R2 with 13:3

What a super win.
I like George - not many one-handed backhanders, and he's a uk uni player, I believe, so a rare breed (,but might be wrong)

 He went to Loughborough...
