I think he's one of the countless Americans who were only, as Jaggy would call them, challenger level players who are able to get a good ranking without needing to try too hard because of the vast number of American tournaments whereas the likes of Liam only gets that luxury for a few weeks and otherwise has to constantly travel round the world to maintain his ranking.
