I guess Sofia's amazing result will have to suffice but, yes, like Peter implies, you'd expect/hope at least one out of four MTBs to go our way, even given the rankings .....

 Well, that was Nottingham, in early May, so at least they had a few weeks apart !


 It's a shame though that there are only eight UK women in the draw and four of them are playing each other (also Lily and Ranah). I'm sure it's statistically not that strange but it's a pity nonetheless. I also know that it means we're guaranteed at least two players in the second round but I'd rather back them against one of the overseas players personally.

 Gosh was it really that long ago.  It doesn't feel like it.  I must be getting old.  Even so, like Nix says, it is a pity
