Horrible draws for all three of the Brits. At least Andy is here, withdrawn from doubles but still here. Hope he doesnt withdraw at the last minute and leave a LL space, he will take a lot of flack if he leaves it late.

Whether Murray ends up playing here or not, the fact that he hasn't immediately withdrawn shows that the injury cannot be that serious and he should definitely be at the US Open. Get the feeling that the withdrawal last week was precautionary more than enforced.

Now Khachanov's withdrawn:  Andy's "stand-in", Daniel Altmaier, will now play Alexei Popyrin, also a lucky loser!  no

And Popyrin won in three!

Popyrin the luckiest loser ever as he now gets a bye in the last 16 with that win as Jarry wins then withdraws because his Mrs is having a baby.

Poor Andy what a chance that would have been and likely sealed a US Open seeding.

Surely Jarry knew his wife was about to give birth ! I think that is outrageous to withdraw at this stage !

Musetti was rock solid, especially in the second set were he only lost a couple of points behind his own serve.  He won 6-4, 6-3.
