No, agreed - just taking in the round. Dont like to feel constrained - we live in chains too much !

Something you want to tell us about your weekends?

 Just the weekends?!

Jack looked to be struggling with his serve from the little bit I saw?

Pleased to see him back on the court for sure, but left a bit concerned/disappointed generally from what I saw. Fingers crossed he is really fit enough to be playing and will find his groove again very soon.

How on earth do I pick someone to support out of these two

Good luck to both of them.

If it helps- if Billy wins he could equal his career high ranking, if results elsewhere go his way; if Liam wins the tournament he should go top 100.

that should make it easier to decide. Oh, wait a second

OK. By my calculations, a tournament victory this week would see Liam crack the Top 100. He would be on 602 points which would currently place him WR 98 according to live rankings. There are 3 other players who could surpass that 602 pts total:

Gojo - who would need to reach the final in his tournament
Duckworth - who would have to win his tournament
Kovacevic - who would also have to win his tournament.

But given they are all playing at Stanford, it is clearly not possible for them ALL to achieve that. So with huge apologies to Billy, let's go Liam.

PS: Might have changed my mind by lunchtime though wink

Noticed that Eden has made the (presumably quite rarely travelled) trip from Brasilia to Winnipeg this week... perhaps she wanted to be there to see Liam crack the top 100 at last :)

Can't celebrate too much but well done to Liam. Two matches from the Top 100.

Not necessarily. Keep an eye on Gojo v Lestienne in Stanford.  Lestienne is a set and a break up, but if Gojo turns it round and loses in the final to Kovacevic, plus Monfils reaches his semi (has to beat Djoko though) then Liam can only reach 101
