Yes, Féry's had a LOT of break opportunities this set.

Ones where's Escoffier's played superly well and others where Arthur has basically fluffed his lines

But overall, he's had just slightly the better of this set, IMO

What a BRILLIANT last game Arthur played there - SO aggressive - just really took the ball on - rocked Antoine backwards

 I didn't see that one coming after losing the second set 6-1! Arthur is definitely becoming one of my favourite players to watch. He seems fearless. Well done. Now, where are we with the ranking? Am I right that he would need to be somewhere around 230 to make the AO qualifying draw? I'm unsure if there are many more tournaments for him to get there - bow to the experts on this site to answer that one.

Great 3rd set for Arthur! Stuck in there after a few disappointments in not converting break point opportunities. Hit some huge forehands, some cracking returns, nice serving and looked the aggressor in a majority of the points.

The Czech, of course, beat Jack Draper in last week's final in Orléans.

 230 is currently circa 260 points and it would be really unlucky not to make AO qualifying ranked 230.

 Lost in 2 sets 3 and 4, but great week for Arthur and up against a player ranked 97, 200 plus places above him. Looking forward to next week.

Féry looked nervous in set one. Got a bit exasperated with himself.

Played a lot better in set two. I think he'll be pleased that he managed to make the second set properly competitive.

As Var says, a very good week.
