Kyle retires 4-3 down in the 1st set. Not the news we wanted.

I fear for his future. So desperately disappointing.

Yes. With the VERY long gaps he's had, and that he's now 28 years old, and can't finish one match in a 15k, there must come a point when you say enough is enough

Looks like he was 3-0 up before being 4-3 down. Will be interesting to see if he withdraws from next weeks tournament in the next few days or not.

Stuart Fraser in The Times reports that Kyle retired feeling unwell because of the extreme heat, and not because of injury.

Oh that's good news. Gutting nevertheless but much, much better than injury.

Rarely have I felt better about someone feeling unwell.

I don't follow F1 in any way, shape or form (can't see the point of watching men-children chasing one another round & round a bit of road in noisy, smelly machines), but this headline in today's ToL caught my eye.  Lots of sportsmen in the same boat as Kyle, it seems.  Sounds a particularly unpleasant place in which to ply their trade.  cry
