L16:  (Q) Billy Harris WR 304 defeated (WC/1) Roberto Bautista (ESP) WR 42 by 5 & 4  biggrin  ban-woohoo.gif

*****

QF:  (Q) Billy Harris WR 304 vs (Q) Maxime Janvier (FRA) WR 397 (CH = 170 in September 2019)

The Frenchman will probably fancy his chances of a semi-final place as much as Billy...

Takes him up to 260. Would love him to get to Aus Open qualifying

Indeed was looking at what he probably needs. Based on live rankings I think he needs another 40 points net. That should get him to about 230. Which should be enough to get in.

Just got home after a long and arduous day but this result has really cheered me up. I have always said that on his day, Billy has a big game and sounds like he brought that to the court today.

Re the comments on Aus Open qualifying, I remember talking to him about that in Alicante LAST year when he was in a similar position and it was definitely on his radar at the time. I have no doubt it will be one of his goals this year too.

Billy is in a half with a total of 3 qualifiers left out of 4 players

Tennis abstract rate him as 3rd tournie favourite in a remaining field of 12. PCB is the favourite overall.

JP Smith seems to be very under ranked given the results he is having
