still looks bad for rest of season though. Presumably doing scans to ascertain exact damage?

Cam not finding his form. Ill bet he cant wait for season end. Also out of the Tour Finals race now, although it was only really mathematically possible as opposed to realistically!

Yes and even if Dan is good to go at the start of 2024 he will now almost certainly be unseeded for the Australian Open.

With this, Andys form, cams form. ATP level proving a real bad place for our guys. Be happy when the main tour is done for the year!

I was kind of surprised that he was still even live #18 in the race.

A look though at his season's points distribution shows that he is still very much relying on early season points.

His total race points are now 1940. But 1245 of these had been accrued by mid March following his Rio 500 title ( beat Alcaraz in the final ) and Indian Wells QF ( beat Rublev ). Generally not produced in the last 6 months or so.

Just watching Gareth Bale's reel on Instagram hitting forehands on the tennis court - is there any game that man can't play? Maybe he will take up tennis as well as golf!

I saw that on Twitter, he actually looked pretty decent. Was good style, leaning back a little on his forehand, but hit some mean strokes and had a good grip to get a lot of top on the ball. Impressed!

Wales1994 was talking about Welsh players elsewhere - maybe Bale could be the next one, haha

Tennis and golf are not that disilmilar - I know a lot of very good tennis players who are very handy at golf too. And top footballers are just another lot of people with great ball skills.

Have you ever seen Petr Cech serve? He's obviously pretty tall (all goalkeepers are) but the ball comes down like a bomb.

Having grown up in Czech, he says most of the football team used to go off and play a set of tennis at the end of training, on the local park courts, as a way to wind down. They were all very decent tennis players

It's only the strength/endurance athletes who are different - Lance Armstrong says he couldn't hit a ball if his life depended on it. Otherwise, I think any top ball player picks up other ball sports really easily.

Not *quite* the same level but I played County tennis as a junior snapped ACL and transitioned to golf. Now play off 2.

The other funny thing is with golfing tennis players is that golfers that have played another sport are much more likely to draw the ball naturally whereas in reality 85% of amateur golfers fade/slice the ball. Its obviously due to the similar grip.
