I thought Jake looked tired today and resorted a couple of times to serving underarm! Hamish is very impressive .

Anton was on fire in the first set then Kyle found his form to take second and was 4- 0 up in second set  , Anton never gave up and managed to take to tie break.

Kyle disputed a call it was close for a backhand shot on the line , to make it  6-4 on tie break. Anton served an ace which Kyle thought it was a fault again another argument with umpire but then shook hands.

Kyle looked as though he might have had a problem with left knee as he stretching it

 Thanks, scottie.

Sounds rather worrying about Jake - serving underarm doesn't really sound 'tired', more injured,no?

Glad to hear little fave Hamish is doing well - and the feisty stuff is all good for Anton/Kyle, but left knee not so great..... (although sometimes when you've had a problem with something, you're very conscious of it, even if it's perfectly fine, so maybe he was just stretching it for that?)

Anton has just won the first set over Jake, 6-3

And then Jake retired at 1-0 in the second set

Real shame but from what scottie said above, not too surprising.

Hope he's OK for the doubles, maybe?

Hamish is on serve, 2-2 in the first

An interesting match-up - he's playing the 18 year-old from Belgium who was #1 in juniors earlier this year, and won the Aussie Open

Whisper it quietly but Anton could win the final I think he'll make the top 500.

Good week for Hamish and a final in doubles to come still. Blockx looks a real prospect and will be hard for Anton to beat

Scottie - was it 4-0 in the second or 3rd?

Yep, it does sound as though Anton will have to be quick of the Blockx to win that one wink
