Katie is 4-5* after losing her serve in the 3rd game - and is having a MTO at the change of ends.

Yes, pretty sure it's her right arm but can't tell whether it's the wrist, or the elbow, or the muscle

Seems to be playing ok though. Got the break back and held serve after a long game.
6-5*

Katie was 4-2 up in the TB

But it got away from her as she lost the next 5 points

And Katie retires......

Which is not surprising - unfortunately

On the bright side, Swan has competed well in 4 matches on the spin and taken 3 good wins, which is a step on from the previous tournament. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Nooooooo! How frustrating, it feels like this could happen even match. Cant imagine how frustrated she must be. Is it an ongoing injury or a new one altogether?

I thought the physio was manipulating her right shoulder during the first MTO, although it was difficult to see as she was the other side of the umpire's chair. Hopefully it is just precautionary and she will only need a short recovery, but it is close to the end of the season and she may not play again this year.

She had tape on her forearm yesterday

Yes, from what I could see, the physio was working more on her elbow to wrist, rather than the shoulder

Doesn't really matter, I guess, as the addict says above, it's the end of the season pretty much now ...... more work to be done in the rehab centre before the start of the 2024.....

But frustrating, nonetheless...
