Utterly heart-breaking for poor Luke Simkiss - four match points, one on his own serve (and, wow, that's some serve he has) but he couldn't quite manage it, missed his winners by inches

Lost in the third-set TB :::(((

Good to see Ali G back on court - although he may have played in the last couple of weeks because I have been so out of it, that I might not have noticed.

Yes, good to see, and to win his R1. And it is his comeback event, well ITF at least.

Win the title and he would be back in the top 500 - well at least for a week.

Kyle having an almighty battle against Santillan. Was a break and 5-2 down. Came back to win second set. Was a break down in third, now into final set tiebreaker.

Has anyone watched enough Kyle since coming back to see how the injury has (or hasn't) impacted his game?

Saw Kyle in Glasgow I thought  in his match in.lattter stages of match against Anton he was the Kyle of old but after  tough hold by Anton he seemed to go to pieces . I am.unsure if fully fit I thought he had a knee problem he was stretching towards end of the Anton match.

It's a shame his ranking is so low but on what I saw he is not a top 100 player maybe he is just rusty

Santillan is nothing to special the Kyle of old would have won in straight sets.

Akira can blow very hot and cold, but when he is focused, he is a very decent player.

Thanks as always for the comprehensive summary. Sean really has kicked on ranking wise since I last spotted him, wonder if he has a shot at direct entry for the Aussie Open? smile

How gutting for Kyle, 2 final set TB losses within a week. Hope things start to come together for him again soon.

An interesting challenge today for Henry Searle as he takes on last weeks Glasgow winner, Blockx. Blockx, of course, beat several Brits last week and it will be intriguing to see how Henry stacks up against him.

He has had a lot of time off. i wouldnt even count the other comebacks as he hasnt managed to get any momentum going during them. I didnt see yesterday match but I watched one of his matches either last week or the week before. I thought at times he was slow to move his feet and get set on a few shots. Im sure his level will improve but will just take time. No amount of training can replace match court action.
