This week, there are 8 Brits left in the last 16, not as stacked as previous weeks in this little GB circuit. Looking at the draw, we have Hamish v Patrick that will generate a British QF and Dan Cox as 4th seed, but beyond those 2, any others getting into the last 8 will be a bonus

Not been good for our top 500 contenders, with Anton withdrawing and then Kyle and Harry losing in R1.

The returning Ali Gray could actually get into the top 500 if he was to take the title, though even then probably just for one week before he drops points the following week.

This last of the 3 domestic M25s is rather backing up any 20 in the top 500 pessimists out there

Could have saved yourself some time by referring to my post nearly 2 months ago where I said 16 at most would make it.

Well, 16 are already basically guaranteed to be top 500 at year end. I bet you that at least one more will make it by then.

I got into trouble for a reason why I think this was the last time this fair city held a tournament.

Must just be a coincidence therefore the uptake in players here then. Joking aside there has been a good number of home tournaments this year, hopefully the calendar will fill up the same next year. More home challengers is probabthe key for players aiming for top 500/250 etc.

I very much doubt anymore will make it one at most.  So thats some bet for anyone that wants to take it

Giles is 2 wins away in Canada this week and then looks like he will play two Challenger qualies.  Only needs about 8 points even after his 4 come off in a weeks time.

Kedders and Paul Jubb look like they are playing a couple of 25ks in Portugal. Either of those could make it with a half decent run.

Harry W still playing as well, among others.

20 by year's end looks a bit too hopeful but we might get closer than you think.

Signed: Glass half full wink

Love the optimism Bob. I like to think I'm in that club too!

17 by year end tops.

Watching Charlie Broom move up the rankings towards the top 300 and number 9 in Arthur Fery is imminent

Blockx going like a train:  he's just beaten Royer by 7-6(5) 6-3 to reach the semi-finals.  It wouldn't surprise me if he won the title again this week.
