No British interest today but in other action, Sinner beats Tsitsipas 4 and 4 ( after some doubt as to whether Tsitsipas would play due to a back injury) and Dodig and Krajicek won handily.

The British doubles players kick off today as below

ATP Tour Finals Turin, Italy, Doubles
Hardcourt indoor
11:00 - Koolhof W / Skupski N v Hijikata R / Kubler J

17:30 - Bopanna R / Ebden M v Ram R / Salisbury J

Would be great to see one or both of them get out of the groups.

Neal and Wesley took the opener 6-3, looking solid.

Think this is one they should expect to win, really.

Neal and Wes move smoothly to a 6-3 6-4 win, good start for the lads. Let's hope Joe and Rajeev can do similar this evening

I didnt realise Neal and Wes were parting ways why is that? Theyve had a successful year winning Wimbledon?

I have to say Wesley was awesome today.  I think Neal might struggle to find someone else this good.

Wes drove it, going back to Mektic. Told Neal a couple of weeks ago, Neal not too happy it seems but on the look out for a new partner.

What a shame. So is the general consensus that Wes is the stronger of the pair? Perhaps its easier for Wes with Metkic in terms of location - training etc? I think that Neal is at least on par if not better than Metkic?

I wonder if Neal will approach Joe?

My feeling is Wes is the stronger, possibly the top player in the world, but so hard to tell in doubles. He paired with Mektic before but Mektic dumped him for Pavic ( I think) so a bit of a surprise.

Not sure who next for Neal - he says he will need to split a pair up, perhaps, but others are moving around and he hasnt landed one yet. Not clear what Joe and Rajeev plans are currently, if Rajeev retires as some suspect he will, Neal and Joe may happen?

Haven't Neal and Joe played before ? Maybe it was just a DC tie. From my very vague memories, there wasn't a lot of chemistry between the two of them.

They won VIenna ATP 500 a few years back together but I think you are right; probably part of the reason Joe wasnt picked for the last DC tie.

I dont think Rajeev, after winning the USO, will retire just yet, suspect he will go one more year, and Joe will stick with him.

First, they both have this weeks World Champs to win though!

Djokovic won a 3 hour plus battle with Rune last night, post midnight finish I believe. He joins Sinner at the top of their group and play each other tomorrow.

In todays play, zverev sadly beat Alcaraz, not pleased with that. The two Russians play tonight
