Miami won all 3 doubles courts for the doubles point
Jaquelyn Ogunwale (UM) lost to #6 Valerie Glozman (Stan) at No 2 singles 7-6(11) 6-7(2) 2-6

Jaquelyn came close to a massive win over No 6 ranked Valerie Glozman but couldn't quite deliver in the key moments. She saved 2 set points in the 1st set at 4-5*, had 4 set points of her own at 6-5* and then went into an epic tie-break which she finally won with her 9th set point, the first set Glozman has lost in 8 matches at No 2 (she's played a mix of No 1 and No 2). Jaquelyn had a chance for a straight sets victory serving for the match at 5-4 in the 2nd set. Around the same time she had lost the 2nd set tie-break, Miami were on simultaneous match points on courts 5 and 6, which would have won the tie for Miami. They won on court 6 but on court 5 from 5-2 40-15 they lost the match. Ouch.

Miami's season ends here. They do not qualify for the NCAAs for the first time since 1995. A mixture of a thin roster and a sparse schedule in the first six weeks is the cause.

Roan Jones lost 5-7 6-7 at No 1 singles (he was 5-2 up in the 1st set)

Alabama are comfortably in the NCAAs.

Vanderbilt won doubles
Alicia Dudeney unfinished at No 2 singles 7-6 *3-2
Talia Neilsen Gatenby lost at No 3 singles 4-6 4-6

Alicia won Florida's only 1st set. Florida finish their nightmare season and despite likely finishing with a ranking that would qualify them for the NCAAs miss out by being ineligible with a losing record. Unlike the other teams in Florida that have missed out on the NCAAs, the Gators have extenuating circumstances having suffered the long term coach departing a couple of weeks into the fall season, numerous injuries and a player leaving the team at the end of January all contributing to their challenging season and having to play some matches short handed.

Alicia finishes her college career on a 11 match win streak. If she intends to go pro, I think of our graduating women she is the most likely to have the most success.

There are numerous questions over this Florida programme with their new coach coming in mid season. Will he keep the current roster? Pilfer 1 or 2 players he had recruited for his old team? Start afresh by recruiting from the transfer portal? Florida have no newcomers yet for next season, with the only player tennisrecruiting having listed for them seemingly decommitted and committed to California instead.

Isabelle did not show up until she was a game away from defeat at 2-5 and then it was a completely different match.

#4 Duke (1) defeated #29 Georgia Tech (8) 4-1
Given Roach and Kylie Bilchev both lost their doubles
Given was unfinished at No 4 singles 7-6(5) 3-6 against Eleana Yu. Yu took a ridiculously long MTO lasting over 15 minutes half way through the 3rd game of the 2nd set which broke Given's momentum

Virginia and Duke play in the semi-final.

Stanford came through against Florida State 4-3
Max Basing+ (Stan) defeating Jamie Connel+(FSU) at No 3 doubles
At No 2 singles Jamie won in straight sets over Kyle Kang
At No 3 Max won in 3 sets
Stanford next play Duke(7) who upset NC State(2)

Lui was 1st to finish with a 1&3 win at No 2.
JPJ was struggling and unfinished at No 1 against his #78 ranked opponent 7-6(3) 1-6 0-3

Louis Bowden was unfinished a set up.

Despite the one sided looking scoreline, this could have gone either way although it was looking an easy win for UNC in the middle of the first set with them up breaks in 5 of the 6 singles and then UNC going up 3-0. But NC State attempted to pull off the most remarkable comeback, pulling one back at No 2 and the remaining 3 singles all tied late in the third set.

Wake Forest's unbeaten run comes to an end with an upset by Virginia

Virginia stunned Wake Forest by taking 5 of the singles 1st sets. The only one they didn't was Charlie.
Luca had his 1st loss in ACC play in his almost 2 year college career.

No 5 singles: Luca Pow (WFU) lost 2 & 5

TCU won a very close doubles point
No 1 singles: Jack Pinnington-Jones lost 1-6 6-7(3)
No 2: Lui Maxted won 6-2 6-3

Another upset and a difficult afternoon for TCU who are having injury troubles. Already without their No 2 (also Lui's doubles partner) for several weeks, they were without their No 4 singles player (also Jack's doubles partner) for this match. So they had to rejig their doubles line up again. In singles Lui played up 1 and everyone below him played up 2 spots. They then lost with retirement the No 3 spot. Anymore injuries and Luke Swan might have to play! Jack played poorly in the 1st set and was in completely the wrong headspace constantly berating himself as to how can he "play so bad" and that he might as well "go home". He quickly went down a break in the 2nd. But pumped himself up after winning the third game in the 2nd but lost the momentum in the tie-break. Jack's 2 losses this weekend against players outside the top 70 will hurt his singles ranking and what ATP college accelerator places he gets for the next year.
If Virginia win the ACC championship, TCU will drop to 3rd in the rankings and probably lose 2nd seeding for the NCAAs.
UCF move into the top 16 and a hosting position for the opening weekend of the NCAAs.

Baylor also lost 2-4 putting the Big 12 final as Arizona Vs UCF.
Baylor drop out of the top 16 meaning they will have to travel for the opening weekend of the NCAAs.

The UCF women will also play in the Big 12 final against Texas Tech. Hannah Rylatt (UCF) winning easily both her singles at No 6 in the QFs and SF.
A win for UCF will move them to 16th, but with 3 Big Ten teams immediately below them and the Big Ten championships next week they'll be unlikely to hold onto it for NCAA selections.

In the men's SEC final South Carolina will play Texas. Connor Thomson getting a win at No 1 singles in the SF.
The women's SEC final is unsurprisingly a rematch of last week's conference decider between the top 2 women's teams Texas A&M and Georgia.

TCU report that Jack PJ was playing with an ankle ailment. I saw he was playing with an ankle support but he seemed to be moving well so thought nothing more of it, but it may put this weekends results into context.

A disappointedly one sided final and a horrid weekend for Isabelle. But today she wasn't the only one that was easily beaten as UNC also won 2 & 0 at No 6 and 2 & 1 at No 1.

If you look at a list of US college players the ones that are "Seniors" will graduate this year. There were some lists somewhere but I can't remember where disbelief
