Been too busy at work to properly follow - are GB playing today?
They are, in theory at 4 pm our time. But the first match in Italy v NL was 3 hours, it is now 2.20 pm and the second rubber is going to a tiebreak just now in the first set and could be close to 3.30 or 4 when it finishes. If it goes to a doubles, GB might not be starting til 6 pm, which makes it interesting!

No, officially no earlier than 15.00 GMT.
Sorry, yes, I meant 4pm Spanish time. The point is, though, it will be a lot later than the targeted time, even if it was a NB time.
We wont be going on court anywhere near 3 pm GMT!
Sinner is getting on top v Griekspoor now and looks like he will see it through. Depends on the Italian doubles pairing, but it is likely they wont be starting the doubles until after 2.30 GMT and possibly after 3 pm GMT.
I dont know how tickets work, but once the doubles is played, do they have to turf out the crowd from the Italy match and then let the fans for GB match in? It could easily be 6pm before we get start, 5pm GMT

earlier in the thread, I was calling for 2 ties a day back to back, but realise that is folly really and likely to end up in long nights more often than not!!
Presumably NL will stick with Wesley and Rojer, you would, wouldnt you?!
The italians can pick from Sinner, Arnaldi, Sonego, Bolelli, and Musetti. Not really sure the best combo for doubles, cant recall Sinner playing doubles much and for Italy before? Not sure they will stick with Sonego and Bolelli though?
Italy have changed it around and Sinner is in to play with Sonego in place of Bolelli. Shakes it up. Sinner will need a break so cant them starting this very soon, maybe 3 pm our time?
ETA - got that wrong, it is warming up already

And NL have also changed their team and Rojer is dropped for Griekspoor!
Big changes and top singles players coming in for the doubles players - Bolelli was the highest ranked Italian and Rojer is one of the top ranked doubles players.
According to Jose Morgado, Ruusuvuori will be playing tomorrow.
He also comments that in each match, the team that wins the opening singles has ended up losing the tie. Italy have just made that 3 out of 3 ties going 0-1 to 2-1.
We need Jack to win his opener so lets hope that doesnt go for us also!!

Morgado misunderstood the article. It suggested that Ruusuvuori SHOULD play at No. 1 to give Virtanen a better chance at No. 2. He's apparently come through a practice today.

ah, ok - in line with the discussion above about putting someone in at 1 even if they just play 1 game etc
