  My only excuse is that my laptop keeps cutting out on me, literally going dead, without warning, at the moment, often in the middle of a post.  It can take me a while to get back to where I was & I either have to reconstitute the lot or I manage to rescue what I'd been typing, but not quite, don't notice that I haven't fully restored the post & put it up with bits missing!  Same thing happened with the Kuwait thread-starter.
