Didnt know this was on TNT sports till late but caught the 4th quarter. Seemed quite fun and exciting format. Jack seemed in great form. Just looking up think he might have just earnt 500k dollars!
Its a pretty crazy sum for 2-3 days worth of work! Outside of the Slams and Masters events youd struggle to earn that sum apart from maybe the odd 500 like Dubai. Youd have to probably make the semi final of the Slams so thats 16 payouts that would be this big and I guess the final of the masters at least so thats another 20 or so. So the tour probably as 40 or so payouts this big to put it into context.
Jack's just been interviewed by Rags Martel on the ITV London News, which described him as "the Half-Million Dollar Man". He's not going to spend the money, he's going to save it. His mum was also interviewed briefly & his grandma was credited with having first got him interested in tennis. Her dementia was also mentioned.

It's a bit like when Kyle won 250,000 pounds for one night's work at a tie break tens tournament in the Royal Albert Hall.
This in the context of Jacks career gives him financial freedom, he will win loads more of course but its a great sum to have in the bank and set him up to not worry about money or his team for a good while.

Indeed, also the new guaranteed income rules start in 2024. I assume the different levels are based on year end 2023 ranking but those in the top 100 are guaranteed 300k. Makes it a bit easier to employ a coach etc goes down as far as top 250 with 176 to 250 guaranteed 75k.

Absolutely !
We should all remember though that this is a gross number - he's got his tax/NI to pay and everything
I know he'll have all his expenses to offset but there's still a good chance he's paying 45% tax on this, plus NI, so he's 'only' taking home £260,435 (according to the first earnings calculator that comes up)

Id take that!
true; but its there as a lump sum Im guessing - actually do tennis events pay as a single lump sum and straight away, presumably the powers that be have strict rules, the payments arent spread out like a salary? And Jack will this year do v well with tournament earnings - more than last year if he stays fit; Cam earned $2.1m last season I think and had a relatively poor year! And Jack will be getting endorsements starting to roll much
