This is Olivers 11th ITF event- 4 of those have been in Britain, 7 overseas. The 7 overseas ones have all been in Monastir! He clearly likes the place, either that or his family have a holiday home there!

I looked it up on Air BnB out of curiosity Jon and you can stay there for £15 a night!
When you look at finances it's a no-brainer. Not sure if this has been posted on this site, but it's an eye-opener:
I know people are aware of the financial situation of players outside of the top 100 but it's interesting to hear it from them!
If anyone struggles with the link, it's tennis players saying how much they've spent this year compared to what they've earned. Katie Dunne, for instance, said she'd spent £10k and earned £7k. Another women player had spent £25k and earned £15k! (around WR316).

Normally at these resort tournaments players are forced to stay at the official hotel as that is how they fund the event / make money.

Thanks, Wolf. No wonder they all struggle to make any money then! I did wonder how those almost permanent tournament venues like Monastir managed to fund themselves. I imagine they're still a bit cheaper than some of the other tournament venue hotels though and at least if you stay for a few weeks you're not paying travel costs.
