Once the December PoM vote and PoS wildcard votes are complete, the PoS groups will be finalised into 4 groups of 7 and the first round voting published on Saturday 4th Jan - most likely in the morning to avoid a clash for any party animals out there!

I hope folks got something out of the 2024 player of the month votes; we will have got a record number of votes this year, although Ive not done the maths. 4 years weve done them.
Although I love doing them and will continue, holidays and work some sometimes make month ends etc a little stressy, so always happy if someone wants to put their hand up to help out one month if I see a log jam arising.
Now you relax, take it easy and enjoy your break for the rest of the day before the WC vote starts things off tomorrow. You seem to have everything in place for the coming period.

Whatever happens, the wildcards will be determined tonight, by midnight!
We will then have the 28 player field and the polls will go up for the first round (4 of 7) tomorrow evening at some point.
The wildcard play off vote has picked up some what from the initial main wildcard vote, Im hoping new year malaise and hols are no longer a thing and it means we will be in for a cracking player of the season vote week!
The 28 players are split into 4 groups of 7; the groups each comprise 3 or 4 men and 3 or 4 women (3 groups will be 3 M/4W, 1 group 4M/3W). Round one is also sort of seeded based on winning PoM titles etc and also Ive largely kept the singles, doubles, wheelchair, juniors and ATP/WTA/ITF players nicely spread across the groups. some wont like the odd mix of players but I cant please everyone and, tbh, it doesnt matter - ultimately its about choosing the one single player of the year.
The first round lasts Sat to Mon, 48 hours; top 3 plus ties get through
The semis are 2 groups of 6, plus any ties who get through from round one. Runs Tuesday to Thurs.
FINAL is Fri to Sun and is top 2 from each semi, plus any ties who get through.
Semi groups will be assigned from round one and will be Semi 1 - A1, D1, B2, C2, A3, D3 and Semi 2 - B1, C1, A2, D2, B3, C3 - regardless of gender or singles/doubles background etc, just the way the round one groups fall.
Big increases year on year in PoS. The PoS vote typically beats the PoM vote by something like 25-35%. If we can get that with this years PoS, we are looking at maybe approaching the 60 barrier. The highest ever vote is 59 in April 2024 PoM, and 58 later in the 2024 year; beating 60 would be fantastic.
