Do hope Ali G is OK....

Another walkover:

L16:  (8) Anton Matusevich WR 430 "defeated" (SE) Jacob Fearnley WR 646 by a walkover

Shame.  I was looking forward to seeing how that match panned out.  I do hope Jake's not seriously injured.

It will be the curse of the top 500.

Someone please notify Jake, Kyle and Harry that this has been achieved and the jinx is over....

Yes, Jake (.76 projected points for 29/01 ) and Ali ( 75 projected points ) are projected to respectively stay out of and fall out of the top 500. So we would be back to a projected 19 in the top 500 unless Kyle wins the title here.

The 20 in the top 500 deed though has been done

Haha - but we dont want to lose it and ideally build on it. Next target needs to be set, 25 in the 500?

Henry drops serve to lose the first set 7-5.

It's to be expected that his opponent will hit a heavy ball, we'll just have to hope that he starts going Amis.....

Kyle cruises to a 6-1 1st set. Playing like a former grand Slam semi finalist.

Technical question here. What with the AO starting next week, when do the points from this tournament actually go onto the rankings ? Do we have to wait until the end of the AO ?

Thanks.  So for Kyle to go Top 500, he has to win the tournament as he has 10 points coming off on that day.

Not that it really matters now wink

Lost focus a little at the start of the 2nd set but dug himself out of trouble with some excellent serving. From 2-2 though, he ran away with it, with some impressive ball striking.

Kyle wins 6-1 6-2

This could be a quite interesting match. Kyle is picking up - I fancy a win over Charlie.
