Dare we hope that the real Kyle is beginning to reappear. I've had my doubts in the last 18 months that he would ever make it back, but for the first time in a long time, I am beginning to hope again.

I'd love to think so. He must find it hard when a Grand Slam tournament is about to get under way & he's not involved in all the razzamatazz surrounding it.
It seems like Kyle is quietly working his way back. I guess the bigger test will come if he gets back near main tour level. Will he be able to compete at that level again. Time will tell but he clearly wants to play and get back. So good to have him back in the mix.
It's about consistency for Kyle now.
If he can have another decent week next week and then push the rankings up, he will move towards seedings and then chances to push I to challengers as he accumulates points.
Will take Kyle back into the top 500 so overall we will maintain at least 20 in the top 500 in the post Aus Open rankings ( Ali Gray is currently projected to drop back out ).
For Kyle himself, hopefully he is on the way to going much much higher again.
Excellent news! Kyle seems to have had a lot of matches recently where he couldn't quite get over the line, so it's great to see him win this one, despite having a fair few break points against him. Onwards and upwards, we hope!
