Neal and Desirae are on court around 5.15 am on the big Margaret Court Arena (strange how this is no an issue, the naming of the court?).
It IS still an issue - cf. this Daily Fail article. I wonder what Mike Dickson would have made of it.
Thanks SC, seems it is. And you guessed my missing word in my post, Id meant to say it was no longer an issue...
I didn't, actually. I simply read the "no" as "not" with a missing "t", so your missing word meant that your comment didn't quite convey your intended meaning...
Hadn't realised Neal's 3 majors wins are all at W. If he can get this one, it will be his first outside Wimbledon; and also maintain a record of one each season for past 3 years. 21 and 22 W Mixed, 23 W mens doubles
From Heather's insta stories, her/Joe's goal is to play the Olympics.
Her story reads that Joe is no 6 in the world so could play with anyone he wants but stuck with me (Heather) even though we were alts. our goal is to play the Olympics.
He'll only be able to do that if he's ranked higher than Neal - otherwise Neal will get the opportunity to pick his own partner. It's only one entry per country, as I understand it for Mixed.

Joe has the edge at the moment in the rankings though...when is the cut off? Lots of tennis to go!

There is no rule in mixed doubles about who get to pick who. It's the 16 pairs with the highest combined rankings (singles or doubles). So if Salisbury and Watson want to play together (and the LTA agrees), they are likely to have the highest combined ranking. And then it's down to who else enters.

So Neal could select Katie say and be up there with them rankings wise?
Had forgotten about Katie, so yes, their combined ranking would currently be higher. Don't know whether it's a public sign-in on site so you can see what the likely cut-off is. But ultimately the LTA would decide.
