 Yes, she just returned at the start of October. UK grass court tournies take note and see that a genuine contender for wins is looked after wirh a WC or three.

Congratz to Sam. now up to GB9 @WR155.

A propos of which, our GB10 in doubles is WR161. In singles it is WR327 - a striking contrast - and the same applies on the men's side.

So we are a much "stronger nation" at present in doubles. Any suggestions why this should be so?

Is it worth starting a "strongest nation" doubles thread?
