Week 18 - ITF W100 Wiesbaden, Germany - Clay


Without taking away anything from our leading doubles players, I understand that the LTA invests more in doubles than most other nations. I think the attitude in many countries is that if you want to be a doubles specialist, you do so on your own.

So if our players see that there might be a better living to be made in doubles, they make that switch. Also, many of our leading doubles players (Salisbury, Skupski, Glasspool) went to US college rather than turning pro straight away and would have developed their doubles playing on college teams.
