Other events, 2024 - week 18

J100 Morocco

Excellent win by Erin Pearce over the 2nd seed in R1

And a win over 14 year-old French girl, Lebeau, 7-5 in the third, in R2

J60 Qatar

Issah Ali lost in R1

As did Ophelia K Davies

Sophier Bekker got a R1 win but lost in R2

J100 USA

Josh Hinton lost in R1

J100 Canada

Athina Schlepphorst won in R1

J60 Turkey

Jay Johnson-Hauldren is top seed and is through to R3

As are Henry Best and Elizabeth Evans

Lawrie Wilkin made R2 before losing

Levi Taylor and Lucas Ebert lost in R1

J60 Costa Rica

Daisy Clifford lost in R1

J30 Rwanda

Kasra NathanielShirazi (age 14) and Jack Berry are through to the QFs

Milo Nardelli won a match before losing in R2

All three are into the doubles SFs

J30 Jamaica

Michael Wilson (age14) did amazingly to beat the top seed in R1, only to lose out in R2

Casey Mauro (age 14) won her R1 (R2 yet to come)

Rosie Cho (age 14) won both and is into the QFs

J60 Turkey

Jay Johnson-Hauldren is top seed and through to the QFs

As is Elizabeth Evans

Henry Best lost in R3, however

J100 Morocco

Erin Pearce is into the QFs. Where she will play a 14 year-old Spanish girl who's come through qualis

J30 Rwanda

Kasra NathanielShirazi (age 14) and Jack Berry both lost their QFs

But Kasra and Milo Nardelli are through to the doubles finals (and Jack's SF score has a glitch so I don't know whether he is too or not)

J100 Morocco

Erin Pearce won her SF, 4 & 3, against a 14 year-old Spanish girl who's come through qualis

She now plays the top seed in the final, ranked JWR 41, which is a big ask

J30 Rwanda

Kasra NathanielShirazi (age 14) and Milo Nardelli lost their doubles final quite easily but well done boys on getting some silverware

J100 Morocco

Not too surprisingly, Erin Pearce lost to the top seed, and top-50 player, 4-6 2-6

Good week though

Brilliant week for her. Big rankings jump coming.

Always nice to see who the next player coming through is.

And it's title time !

J60 Turkey

Jay Johnson takes the title, 6-0 6-0

And

Jay also won the doubles title, playing with Ireland's James Lammas

This should take Jay inside top 250 in the rankings. Nice milestone for him.
