in the mens, putting Newport to one side for now, these are the two players with a chance of getting most wins at the end of Wimbledon, with Jake having no one voting for him.

Jack D - JonH, Jan, The Addict, Goldfish, Danny1312, Simon381

Billy H- Tanaqui, Bob in Spain

Newport could change things

Day 33 of 50 - So, Cam won the battle of the Brits and, with it, is the last Brit in Wimbledon. Cam can only reach 8 wins max and so cant take this race. Which leaves Billy at the top.

Part of me would like to anoint Billy as the winner but I am not entirely sure of the Newport RI plans - Billy is in qualies as it stands and Charles and Jake (and Ryan) are alts for Newport qualies.

If Jake and Charles get in and play, they could still catch Billy; so for now, we need to see how that entry list develops over the next week and if they play.

So, Billy is in a strong place and looking likely as the overall winner, but not yet crowned!!

Players possibly in Newport that could still take this marked as XXX

Players who might be in Newport plus Cam in Wimbledon, marked ***

TOTAL Name
11 Billy Harris XXX
9 Paul Jubb
8 Charles Broom XXX

For those of you sad about the grass court season ending in 10 days or so, dont be upset! I have decided to extend it.

I know some people dont like fantasy stuff and that is fine. But I decided I could use the above wins list and have an end of grass season finale - a fantasy British Grass Court Masters.

More will follow but in essence the top British players based on grass wins this season will be pitted against each other and you will get the chance to vote on who would become the British champion. Head to head match ups. Im still to decide exact number of players (8 or 16) and still to determine seedings basis but it will link back to this.

So if this is your thing or you just want some post grass fun , keep an eye out!

Great to see several players in Newport next week, and all at the top of the table - battle is suddenly joined and if Jubby and Aidan get in, we will have 5 players taking part in qualies. The competition is back on!

With Henry into the Wimbledon final and dropping out of Newport, the upshot is Julian tops the most wins table for the grass season.

Will update it after Newport but well done to Julian for a good few weeks on the grass.
