Thank you - I always look to the TNNS app first and seldom go to ATP or WTA sites these days !

So a little bit of the story - Luke and Skander had a rush to enter Surbiton but Skander said his leg was hurting and Luke played with Billy. Doesnt explain why they arent playing this week and next, nor Luke at all, but

From the Daily Mail
So the entry deadline for Surbiton was we had to have been out of Roland Garros by 1pm, he said. So I had a hectic... we finished 11.45am French time.

And then Skander told me his leg was hurting him, so he's not playing. So then I had an hour and 15 minutes to find a new partner. Hence why I requested a later interview. Because I was like, I need an hour and 15 minutes, I've got all hands on deck to try and find someone. So I'm playing Surbiton with Billy Harris. I registered with 10 minutes to spare.

Luckily, I knew Billy was supposed to be playing with Liam Brody who's one of my close friends. So I actually said to Liam, is anyone looking for Surbiton? And he said Well, Billy is now because I've just pulled out. So I spoke to Billy and then I think we might have to get in on a wildcard. So then I had to speak to Leon Smith (head of mens tennis) and see what was happening with that. So there's a few phone calls that had to be made!

Ha - I wish! It was a quote from a press story that is in most of the papers, I took it from the mail but others ran the same story !

Shame that Skander was injured but good to hear he and Luke haven't had a big falling out. Hope they're back playing together soon.

I have an update on Skander and Luke, who have split up. His coach Calvin Betton speaking on Tennis Unfiltered podcast said that it's Skander's decision. Bizarre timing, but not the first pair to have split up in the middle of a fine run. Luke now scrabbling around to find partners.

Well, damn, that's disappointing to hear. cry  I hope Luke can find a good partner to help take him to further new heights (as Julian and Henry have both managed).

That's hugely disappointing.  bleh  I was delighted to see that they'd made the draw at RG.  I sincerely hope that Luke manages to find another partner who's a good fit soon.

Gosh, that much is clear after the way Luke spoke. I wonder if Skander really had an injury at all? Disappointing news and wishing Luke the best in getting some pairings together for the grass.

Just listened to Calvin on that. He talked about Skanders multitude of reasons but I read into it he was pretty pissed at Skander and he really didnt give a good reason.

Disappointing for sure. Maybe Henry and Luke could play Queens if Harri cant get fit in time? Im sure Luke will find a partner for Wimbledon at least, but obviously needs a good strong partner come post Wimbledon for rest of the season. I wonder if Neal could be an option, if Jamie and Venus get back together again post Wimbledon ? Lots of change !

Marcus doesnt appear to have a set partner at the moment. I wonder if maybe Luke & Marcus could team up next week/Wimbledon.

Lukes in fact second alt with Balaji in Mallorca, so he may end up there instead of Eastbourne. Julian is in Mallorca.
