No seeds left in the half with Paul and JPJ; only 2 seeds left in total.
I have never really analysed it but I am sure Challengers must have significantly more of seeds getting beaten early than other men's tournaments, with the relatively closer ranked fields.
That's an interesting point. Also I'm guessing as it's the next stage in your career after ITF tournaments there are lots of players going up the rankings who may be underranked or coming back from injury, like Paul, or from playing college tennis like Jake and JPJ.
At the same time there are probably out-of-form players who have dropped down the rankings and are less able to get into ATP tournaments who are trying Challengers as a way of halting the decline/trying to get back into the top 100. It's a sort of meeting in the middle kind of thing going on. It makes for an interesting battleground.
