Not to be - Alfie went down 6-3 in the final set.

So it is Gordon versus Oda in the final, tomorrow

Disappointing and surprise end in the doubles as Alfie and Gordon lost, in 2 sets, having beaten the same pair in the groups.

Alfie didnt look at it this week, really. Time to regroup for 2025!

For those interested, Gordons singles final against Tokito Oda is at 11am GMT.

Its a big ask - Gordon took just one game off Oda in the group stages- but Gordon has surpassed expectations so far, you never know.

 Indeed - I guess the doubles showed results can swap around between groups and finals outcomes; and Alfie took Oda to three sets in the semi. But its a long shot for Gordon!

It is not to be as Gordon goes down, 2-6 6-0 6-2.

Great effort and really good event for Gordon, should be proud of what he did this week.

And that is effectively the end of the wheelchair season.

Pity but still very well done to Gordon and he won a set more in the final than I was expecting.
