Surprised neither of them are in the doubles. I'm increasingly confused as to what Heather's focus is just now - does she think she can get back into top 100 singles? Why isn't she playing doubles in these big events where she could make the cut and easily push up into the top 40 quite quickly?
Heather did enter doubles with Noskova but didn't make the cut.
Urgh. As I said before, I am not entirely surprised. Heather's lack of a coach beyond her mom and p/t Pat Harrison over the last few years has been frustrating because it's not working. In my opinion, Hev seems to prioritize the enjoyment of training over the results.
On Harriet, I hope you're right about her second serve. That could be a real game-changer for her.

Last year her second serve was getting punished a lot. Hon, despite hitting hard and well, wasn't able to do that during the second set (the only bit I watched). Fingers crossed.

Yeah I was hoping she'd sneak in onsite courtesy of a partner with a good singles ranking. She reached the final last year so taking a big hit not making it.
