Week 2 - ATP Challenger 75 - Nottingham, Great Britain (indoor hard)

Shame that Anton couldn't get the win but a very good week for him and lots to build on. Who woul have thought 2 WCs would both be in the SFs.

Henry has pulled out of his planned 2 weeks in Doha. Makes sense to stick to British events this month.

Couldn't watch the third set

But super excited that he won - that must have taken some strong nerves

Pleased to have Henry in my top-10

(Mind you, Arthur is still AWOL so maybe not looking quite as good as all that )

Win the final and Henry will have moved from GB #21 to GB #10 in the one week ( he will be up to GB #15 if he is 'just' RU ).

So given you have predicted Henry to be GB #10 and WR 350 you'd then want him to just stick around there for the rest of the year

What would we consider a good year for Henry, what should he be aiming for.

Or for him AND OTHERS to get higher in the rankings! I think I put him as my 10 too

 Atleast within GS qualifying range.

Yes, I'd be happy for him to go up to WR 150, as long as there were 9 others above him

I'd sacrifice the rankings and get the places

Seriously, I think Emmsie is right and his goal should be to make top-200 at the end of 2025

ADD: should add, that would be the 'goal'; I mean, he'd still have had a very successful year if he goes up from WR 550 to WR 300 (or even 350 biggrin), but top-200 seems an ambitious but plausible goal

Henry lost the TB 6-8 ( though he led it by *4-1 early on and had a SP at 6-5* )

6-7(6) 2-1*

No breaks of serve so far.

He saved several SPs too (in the previous service game as well as one in the TB, I think)

It was very close.... shame about the very last shot that was into an open court and he overhit it

But some excellent play

He fought really well, after the disappointment of the first set

But the third set just got away from him

Great to hear SUCH a big (or at least noisy ) crowd

Who is part of Henry's setup at the moment?

On the back of 4 first round losses, this week has been absolutely excellent for Henry. I'm guessing that his next events might be Sunderland and Glasgow. Futures events just after being a Challenger finalist might be a step down, but he needs to get used to playing and winning everyday.
