ITF Wheelchair Tour 2025

Alfie and Gordon took the mens doubles title in Rome, good week for Alfie once more.

Tokito Oda won the Japan Open mens singles, but it was a tough battle with De La Puente, 7-5 in the third set.

The World Team Cup, in Turkey, runs from 6th May as the next big event and then, also in May, we have Series 1 events in Rome, Barcelona and Open de Royan, as lead ins to the French Open. Those events will tell us who is in form for Roland Garros and has the clay wheels to take the big one before we turn to the Grass in Eastbourne, Roehampton and Wimbledon.

Id not checked the world rankings for April 14 and missed two big moves: Alfie had gone to number one in the mens singles rankings, replacing Oda who must have had points dropping off.

And in mens doubles, Gordon Reid went to number one alone from Alfie who drops to two.

Congrats to both of them.

However, in singles, Oda should have super series points coming on this week and , I think, will go straight to number one again - with it being a bank holiday, not sure if the ITF will update the lists today or tomorrow, but whenever it is, we shall see.
