Just a few series 1 and 2 events left this year now. I suspect there will be no Brits in Osaka, although there is no entry list I can see yet. The season then moves indoors for the top players.
Oct 17-19 $16,000 Kino****a Group Japan Women's Open - Series 1 - Osaka (Japan, hard) (12 women's singles only - men's played in September, no quad event)
Oct 21-25 $33,000 Open Paratennis du Loiret - Series 2 - Orleans (France, indoor hard) (24 men's singles, 16 women's singles, 8 quad singles)
Oct 31- Nov 2 $32,000 Rolex Paris Masters - Series 1 - Paris (France, indoor hard) (8 player men's singles only - no women's or quad draws)

The Open Para tennis du Loiret field is announced - the last event covering all 3 disciplines of note.
Quad - includes Oliver Cox
Womens - includes Lucy Shuker
Expecting Alfie and Gordon will be in Paris Masters and them plus Andy in NEC Masters, maybe Greg Slade will grab a place if anyone of the top 8 quad players doesnt enter
The Japan Women's Open has a 100% Japanese only entry and definitely no British interest!
There are a few series 3 events in Taipei coming up, and in Europe there is a French series 3 event and some futures series events, but at the Series 1 and 2 level, there are just three events left now:
Oct 21-25 $33,000 Open Paratennis du Loiret - Series 2 - Orleans (France, indoor hard) (24 men's singles, 16 women's singles, 8 quad singles)
Oct 31- Nov 2 $32,000 Rolex Paris Masters - Series 1 - Paris (France, indoor hard) (8 player men's singles only - no women's or quad draws)
Nov 10 - 16 ITF NEC Singles/ Uniqlo Doubles Masters (Tour Finals) - Huzhou (China, indoor clay) (8 player singles draws men/women/quad; 8 men's doubles, 6 women's doubles, 4 quad doubles)
The entry list for the Paris Masters (not the Tour Finals NEC Masters) is announced. An 8 player, mens field only, event takes place alongside the mens 1000 event held each year.
Only world number one, Oda, is missing:
Entry list (singles & doubles):
1) Alfie Hewett (GBR, World No.2)
2) Martin de la Puente (ESP, World No.3)
3) Gustavo Fernandez (ARG, World No.4)
4) Gordon Reid (GBR, World No.5)
5) Stéphane Houdet (FRA, World No.6)
6) Ruben Spaargaren (NED, World No.7)
7) Casey Ratzlaff (USA, World No.9 now)
8) Wildcard to be determined - likely to be any of world number 8, Caverzaschi (who has jumped over Ratzlaff since the field was announced) or French world 23, Cattaneo, or Japans world number 10, Miki is also a possible- he is over to play the Open du Loiret in France the week before and it would seem unlikely he would be over for just one event.

Lucy has now pulled out of the field in the Open du Loiret, leaving just Oli Cox in the quad event to represent GB.
Although none of our women entered the Japan Open Series 1 event, a few are dotted around:
Cornelia Oosthuizen, Ruby Bishop and Abbie Breakwell are all in Taipei at the Series 3 event , the Taipei Open. There is also a series 3 event in Taipei next week, so presumably they will play both events.
Lucy Shuker may have dropped out of the Open du Loiret field, but turns up in a series 3 event in Indian Wells, with a small 3 player women's field.
In the Taipei Open, Abbie Breakwell is into the semis, however Cornelia lost earlier than expected . Ben Bartram faces Andrew Penney in the mens semis.
In Indian Wells, Lucy is playing for the title in the 3 player round robin draw.
Mens singles - Alfie and Gordon both play as the top 8 are all entered
Womens singles - Andy plays; Greg misses out, again it is the top 8 all playing
Mens doubles - Alfie and Gordon in this; its a 6 pair field, not quite full strength (past years its been 8 pairs) with 6 of top 12 men playing
Quad doubles - Greg is in this with Jin Woodman as partner; Andy is with Heath Davidson. Its a 6 pair field (in the past its been 4, so a stronger field, 9 of the top 12 play). One confusion is that they have Jin Woodman playing in 2 pairings (one with Greg and one with Finn Broadbent, so need to clarify that!
No womens entries - the womens doubles is also a 4 pair field and in the past has been 6 pairs. It feels like the doubles event here struggles generally to get the best field as the top players prefer to focus on singles

Alfie is seeded one and plays world number 4, de la Puente
Gordon is in the other half and plays local French star, Houdet. The winner should play second seed, Fernandez.
Alfie and Gordon also play the doubles and are seeded top.

6 of the singles players and 5 of the doubles players in this field of 8 are in the NEC Masters in 3 weeks time; sort of a mini me warm up with just Oda and Ratzlaff missing from the singles NEC Masters field due to play in China.
