Conditions seemed difficult. Not totally clear why. Emma's ball toss looked all wrong. Think she was using a low ball toss due to wind but it just seemed to cause a complete breakdown in her service motion. She fought hard, tried to stay in the rally and hope that Amanda would make an error; the first set score would suggest it worked.

I suspect the conditions contributed towards the erratic play from both. Amanda struck a lot of impressive winners but also plenty of errors. Most noticeable thing about Emma was that her first serve seemed not to be functioning normally, no pace or penetration, making every Raducanu service game stressful viewing. Emma played the big points better; which was enough to win the match.

And wirh a love service game Katie has gone from *1-5 to 6-5* ( 3 SPs in all saved at 2-5* )
