Up to 3/4 in the world and 500 points away from 1/2. With a lot less to defend between now and Wimbledon.

Where did Henry pick up his extra 20 points?

Mainly down to him not playing the Miami Masters last year while Harri played it with John Peers, got knocked out in R1 and took a mandatory 0 points ( for daring to turn up and play! )

The counters they have different from each other before they paired up in April are:

Harri :  Accapulco in February - 180 points with John Peers, plus Miami Masters in March - 0 points with John Peers.  Total 180 points

Henry :  Phoenix Challenger in March - 100 points with Rinky Hijikata, plus Madrid Challenger in April - 100 points with Harri ( but a non counter for Harri since due to his above 180 and mandatory 0 he actually has a higher 19th counter ). Total 200 points.

200 - 180 = 20 points difference.

As I kind of indicated in my brackets after recording Harri's mandatory Miami Masters 0 , I am not a great fan of doubles players who turn up and lose in R1 of Masters ( or Slams ) having to count a mandatory 0, whereas if you don't play a Masters at all ( by not being high enough ranked or simply by choice ) it just isn't in your counters. Though it works for Henry here in having him ahead of Harri.

That was all a bit more detective work than I was envisaging

Yes, I thought that it was a very good summary of how Henry is 20 ranking points ahead of Harri

I went to the football, halfway through the second set and was expecting it to be mentioned on 5 Live, but they totally ignored it.

Why did they put on the final that late in front of virtually no crowd....

Because they are idiots. As some of us were saying in advance, ridiculous to start a women''s singles / men's doubles finals session at 7.30 pm local.

No mitigation IMO that the matches went long ( and at only just over 2 hours there have been longer women's singles matches here ).

Surely serious discussions need to take place over how this was all arrived at.

Just got in after a long day out and brilliant to come home to this result.

Well done, Harri and Henry!

I think if the women's final was 62 62, it would have been a different story. This has always been the Saturday schedule ever since the women's final moved from day to night.

Still no mention of this final in the tennis section of the Times or the Telegraph online!

40% of pattens doubles titles are grandslams. With him only winning 5. And never reaching past the quarter finals at a masters.

Although they reached the tour finals semis in November having won their round robin group.
