Small rant, but it's related to earlier chat about doubles popularity.. not a single mention throughout all commentary as well as post match punditry about doubles final to come?

How is anyone going to stick around if they don't know another match is to come. Same with radio, instantly talking about the men's singles match. I know I'm biased but a Brit in the final surely deserves one 5 second mention? (On my phone so apologies for rubbish grammar)

Agree - was just listening in and it went to talking about Andy and Djoko and no mention of doubles - now on to some F1 programme

I listened to the first 2 sets before switching to Discovery+ and the doubles final did get a 5 second mention then, though I would have expected repetition at the end of the women's singles

Henry quoted on the Beeb's live text commentary as sating he finished the mixed SF feeling a bit sore:

"We played our semi-final yesterday [Thursday], it was a long match and I pulled up a little bit sore after that, both physically and mentally. We've played a lot of tennis so I don't feel I have to play too much more," Patten said on Friday.

The boys go an early break down (Henry broken):  1-2*.

Italians hitting 77% first serves in, H and H 48%

When it is in play, Henry and Harri winning more points, need to get more first serves in and hope the Italians fall off.

The lads have created 5 break points, not won any yet. Feels like they might be able to create more and if they can fire on serve, get back equal, maybe second set

The net having a big say in He RG and Harri getting the break back but not in the normal way. A point for touching the net and another for hitting the ball on the wrong side.

Well the ball was inline with the net, certainly not over, big call by the officials, broken back just in time. Not sure what the actual rule says.

Tie break time - glad they got the break, momentum and emotions with H and H now? We will soon see. Italians first serve dropped to 72% maybe just coming off a bit ?

Personally thought it was inconclusive. The best angle seemed to have point of contact between racquet and ball between two frames.

Didn't see it but the ball must have been fractionally more one side of the net than the other and presumably which way that is judged to be decides it.
