Krawietz and Perez lost in a MTB, so it is the Aussie WC pair of Birrell and Smith in the SF

Routcliffe and Venus (NZ) are the only seeds to reach the SF

Birrell and Smith (like Olivia and Henry) have caused several upsets too so a semifinal battle of the giantkillers.

Gadecki and Peers won their mixed semi and in to the final;

Henry and Liv up next in their semi with Birrell and JP. Just our guys and 2 Aussie pairs left.

Argh, lost 7-6 6-2. Wasted 6 break points across two games. Have to say, that was an exceptional opportunity for Liv to win a Slam. Shame.

 Yes, in theory, but always odds on for the winners of the first cry

Neither were at their best today, and Birrell did play very well. A great pity.

The mixed doubles can often throw up surprises. Peers-Gadecki v Smith-Birrell in an all Aussie final that at least is fun for home fans. Had forgotten that Smith had reached the mixed final in 2022 with Astra Sharma.

Gadecki and Peers took the doubles title in what looks like a close final

 I'd suggest 3-6 6-4 [10-6] is a close final    Hope it was a good one.
