They were at NC State together during Millie's first year there. If they ever played together it would have been very rarely. Anna's regular partner that year was Alana Smith and Millie's was Abigail Rencheli.
Yes, one more win to be sure but probably enough already for top 500 on 03/02. Her current 541 ranking is her existing CH so whatever she will be taking a whack out of that.
Current live ranked 500 for 27/01 is on 101 points. Millie will now be up to at least 103 points on 03/02 ( 112 points with a SF win ).
Just keep winning anyway this week and in the coming months. She has no points due to come off until 09/06 at the start of the grass court season.
And although she had some very good wins and other performances in last year's grass season it 'only' added up to 24 ranking points. So not that fearsome points defences to come even then.
Decent week.
We really need a few more to step up and get in that 300-500 ranking.
Just Ella, Emily App and Naiktha.
There are a few others capable, but they are either injured or juniors or playing doubles
and with then Beth, Naiktha and Mimi giving us 14 in the top 500, to become 15 on Monday week with Millie's week here.
Hannah and Mika will no doubt come through ( well hope so! ) but the little bit older and now playing senior, such as Ranah and Hep are for now not really pushing on that quickly.

But yes, certainly would hope that Hannah, Mika and her are going to go much much higher.
Mimi seems to be making a move as she is now 17. She has 2 W75s coming up in Brisbane (qualifying) , back to back. Then I think she is in NewZealand, so appears to be coming the long way back to GB. She posted from Brisbane today on Instagram. I dont think we should, discount Brooke Black TBH.

I so wish poor Katie Swan would sometime get and stay fit and well.
She appears to be in training so perhaps she'll be back soon. And Katy Dunne is doing a lot of fitness work, so may be back at the end of March (although she'll have a lot of ground to make up - if her shoulder can stand it)
