I would have thought aiming to play more matches should be a priority. So why make that as difficult as possible?

For her sake I hope she plays qualifying if anything. The Doha field is very strong and she needs matches (again) - assuming she finds which airline lost her serve in transit.

I saw her on recent flight as part of video BA use for the safety briefing - not sure if they lost her serve but they surely didnt give her any acting skills!

Marni withdrew from Birmingham yesterday, and Heather the day before. Three available slots in the main draw and four in qualifying. That should promote Alice, Freya and Mika into qualifying by right regardless of SE's and WC's
